WHAT IS PH AND HOW THE HECK DO YOU KEEP IT IN CHECK?

The PH scale measures how acidic or basic a substance is. This goes hand-in-hand with alkalinity. The definition of alkaline is of or like an alkalis (any of various bases, the hydroxides of the alkali metals and of ammonium, that neutralize acids to form salts and turn red litmus paper blue) Overall, alkalinity when involved with nutrition is the amount of acid you have in your body. Less acid = good. More acid = bad. The alkaline scale is a PH of 1-14. (One meaning healthy (and/or acid free) and 14 meaning very acidic)

Foods with a lot of acid can greatly affect your stress, mood, hair, skin, digestion and can even cause cancer. Below are two pictures. The first picture is an FYI list of ways to become more alkaline. The second picture is a table of a variety of foods listed from high to low acid levels. To begin the process of becoming more alkaline, pick five items for picture one to incorporate into a life style change. In picture two, pick five items to cut out or cut back on. You’ll notice on heck of a difference in your energy, immunity and overall wellness.

Blessings!
