Check out this short clip of some of my favorite hamstring stretches. The hamstrings are made up of three posterior thigh muscles. From medial to lateral: Semimembranosus, semitendinosus and biceps femoris. Since we are working with three muscles, it’s important that you continue to change the angle of the stretch to engage all three muscles. Standing and bouncing toward your toes doesn’t do much good =P Be intentional and proactive in gaining flexibility and understanding the complexity of your body. It’s pretty amazing!
