There is a long list of things I changed about my lifestyle, but the main thing I did to lose weight was pick one realistic goal at a time. I promised myself I would stick to that goal, no matter what! Once that goal became a habit (however long it took) I would add another goal.
One major thing I did that helped me drop the lbs. was I changed from regular milk to unsweetened almond milk over three years ago. I challenged myself to really watch my sugar. I realized that cutting out my milk would cut back 12g of sugar a day. That’s actually a lot. Almond milk has more calcium and 0g of sugar! An overload of dairy is never good for weight loss anyway. Here is a diagram to see the pros and cons of switching. In my opinion, it’s a no-brainer!
